OOTD + Harlem Shake + Foot Pain :(

Today I had a performance of a scene of Macbeth and decided with my group that the witches would wear all black.  I’m wearing a black cardigan, black camisole, black scarf, black leather pants and black riding boots.

I have good news and bad news this week.   Continue reading

Donna Karan Fall 2013 RTW Review

In this collection, Donna Karan combines fur and leather with beautiful dress designs.  The sheer fabric in many of the dress also gives a sexy and sultry feel which is perfect for Valentine’s Day(hint hint).  Here is a link to the full collection.  Here are some of my favorite looks:

OOTD + I ran 6.2 miles!!

Today I wore a red 3/4 sleeve shirt, blue jean vest, leather jeans, black scarf and black furry wedges.  I felt kind of  rocker chic with a soft edge.

I also ran 6.2 mi on the treadmill this weekend while watching Thor.  It felt awesome and I can’t wait to hit 7.  I’m running a 5k  on Saturday(going to have a recap on Sunday) and got the bib and extra things but ended up getting the wrong bib.  I’m gonna try and get my dad to switch it out tomorrow or change it at the race.

For the past few weeks I’ve been having pains in my foot when walking but not running.  I really want to get rid of the pain so I’m icing it but I’ve decided that if it’s not mostly gone by the last week of February then I can’t run the half marathon in May.  I’m really hoping it goes away because I’ve already started working on a training program for the 12 weeks before the race.

On a last and exciting note, I was featured on Be in Style’s Best of the Web!  Check out the post here.  So flattered to have been chosen and loved working with them.

New York Fashion Week starts on tomorrow.  What shows do you want me to cover?  Do you want me to stick with trends of each collection?  What do you guys want to see?  Leave it in the comments!

Quick Style Tip: Under Camis!

When wearing sweaters in the winter, you may sometimes get what I call a draft when lifting your arms or moving around alot.  I have found the perfect way to combat this.  Try wearing a camisole under your sweaters!  Tuck it into your pants and you kill two birds with one stone, no sees your panties(I see London I see France) and you keep warm all day, even when moving around alot.

OOTD + So cold!!!

Today I loved my outfit!  It was a long white shirt, white camisole, black leggings, black infinity scarf, and my new boots!  Today was also like 10 degrees out and I ended up wearing a sweatshirt in class and took it off as I was walking down the hallway.

Philipp Plein Fall/Winter 2013 Menswear

Let me start off this post saying that I don’t really follow menswear.  I usually don’t find it very interesting and like women’s fashion so much better.  But I have to say that Philipp Plein is officially one of my favorite designers.  His designs are very out there and eccentric but I loved the theme of his fall/winter 2013 collection.  It was mismatched but it all came together.  I also have to say that when watching this collection the runway on youtube I was weirded out at first but as the looks came out I began to love it more and more.  Here is the entire collection on the runway and here is a full slideshow of the looks.  Here are some of my favorite looks:

OOTD + All my TV Shows are back

The outfit I wore today captures how much I’ve changed over the last year.  Last year at this time I was wearing the same outfit to school everyday because I couldn’t fit into any other clothes.  I was depressed, I secluded myself and binge ate everyday.  I gained about 20 lbs over the next months and was miserable.  But today I wore a body con sweater dress with legging and was confident as heck.  I no longer care what anybody thinks and although I’m not at my goal weight, I’m still gonna rock my body because it’s the only one I’ve got and I love it.

This week I’m also super excited because all my shows come back!  Biggest Loser, Cougar Town, Pretty Little Liar, The New Normal, The Mindy Project, Go On, and Ben and Kate.  This weekend you know what I’ll be doing.  Also if you guys have any show suggestion please but them in the comment!  I have finishing Supernatural and Dr. Who on my list but I’m open to more.
