Half Marathon Training: 7 Weeks To Go!

This week was amazing!!  I did every workout and ran my first 24 mi week(first 20+ week too).  It was also spring break so I had extra time to walk after some of the easy workouts to add some mileage for the week.  I also ran 10 mi straight for the first time ever.  I was suppose to do 8 mi at most but felt amazing and just couldn’t stop.  And the funny things is for the first 2 mi of the run I kept thinking about stopping.  But I didn’t and I completed something that I could of never dreamed of doing a year ago.  I have accomplished so much and I need to let that push me to go farther.  I also did that run with no fuel what’s so ever.  But after the run, my dad took me to the running store and bought me so many things!  Here a picture: Continue reading

The Art of Getting Back on Track

When I was seriously losing weight last year, I was very strict.  I would count every calorie that went into my mouth and would always say no to food that wasn’t in my meal plan.  As time went on, I got less and less strict to the point where I’m right back to where I started(not weight wise but diet wise).  So I’ve come to the conclusion that I need to learn to say no again and I’ve created a list of things to do(because as many of you have come to realize, I love lists). Focusing on School + Doctor Who!!

I’ve been looking into different schools but, so was my mother.  She is very set on me going to school instate and I’m set on going to school out of state.  Her main point is the cost is less instate and I want to graduate school without student loans.  So I’ve been forced to think about my studies.  The school I really want to go to has good scholarships for those who have an 88% average or higher and combined math/critical reading SAT score of 1100.  They also have one scholarship that gives full tuition to one person with a 93% average or higher and combined math/critical reading SAT score of 1300.  I’m sure that if I work hard I can make all those things happen and maybe be able to go out of state.   Continue reading

Half Marathon Training: 8 Weeks To Go!

This training week was not very good.  I only workouted/ran once this week and I’m disappointed in myself.  My diet has also not been on point in months and I really need to fix that.  I thought Beach Body Bootcamp would spark a drive in me, but it hasn’t.  I need to decide to be healthy and go through with it.  I know my body is getting doughier and I hate it.  I looked at pictures of me from October and I want to get back there.  This week I will be focusing on cleaning up my diet and exercising more.  I will also be trying out fuel during my long run which I am scared and excited about.  I thank those who gave me tips on a previous post because that’s helping me choose which type of fuel I want to try first.  Here’s my failure of this past week:

Spring Trend Alert: Mint!

Mint has been super popular lately and I can see why.  It’s perfect for spring because of how light and pastel the color is and it has a the ability to make a soft statement.  I love pairing mint with gold and nude and that will be reflected in my styling.  I just think that they are the perfect combination of colors to give a light, airy and flirty look.  In this post, I have styled mint jeans, a mint dress and mint shoes. Adorable Video and Future Career

Let’s just start this post off with an adorable video that had me smiling ear to ear.

And here’s part 2 if you want to see the rest of it!

And on another thought, I have been really forced to look at what I want to do with my life the past few weeks.  As many of you know, I previously really wanted to work in fashion.  And I still do but my mother has said that she will only pay for certain majors.  So I have been forced to look into more “realistic” majors.  But I think I’ve found something I would enjoy and be really good at. Spring Run 10k Race Recap

Yesterday I ran my first 10k!  It was such an awesome experience and I can’t wait to race again.  My mother was in charge of pictures this time and she was not very good with it so I have no pictures from the actual race on my camera.  But I have 2 from her phone so I might add those later.  I do have pictures from the morning though so I’ll picture-walk(I just coined the term) you through the day.

SF Spring Run 10k pics 001

I had my alarm set for 6:45 so I could chug 2 bottles of water and then go back to bed.  The time I actually woke up was around 8:40 and I went to the bathroom and got my breakfast of cereal and a bottle of water. Continue reading
